If the UK voted to leave the EU it has been pictured as economic suicide - or at least gratuitous self-harm. This article by Wolfgang Munchau makes the persuasive case that the UK, by excluding itself from the Euro, has effectively left already and that the case for staying in is not, primarily, an economic one.
