Concrete Action

I have been going on for some time about how the face of London is being dramatically changed in a piecemeal way by developers who take advantage of the opacity of the planning system to get permission for towers that most people are unaware of until they are built or have planning permission.

A new 'WikiLeaks' forum, called 'Concrete Action', has been set up by architects who share my misgivings. It will enable architects, who get to see under the covers of the planning system, to flag and disseminate proposals, viability studies and pre-planning documents anonymously to local action groups and the press.

It is interesting that this is coming out of the architecture profession which has much obvious skin in the development game. It must be as bad as I think it is....
