Suede Shoes

How long does it take before those smart suede shoes go shiny at the toes and start to look, well, shabby? All too soon sadly, despite all the sprays and preservatives you get persuaded into buying at point of sale.

Here's the answer. Get a kettle steaming nicely and put the shoes into the direct steam. Rub the shiny bits with a file for a second or two and put back into the steam. Rub down with a clean cloth while still hot and damp. Voila! Shoes that are (almost) new.
