In most things there is a price gradient: the better it is, the more you will pay. But in a few areas there is a curious lack of price difference. Take private education in the U.K. The cost of a boarding school is around £30,000 per annum - but it is the same for say Eton and Winchester as for an establishment few have heard about. There are also goods like smartphones where a billonaire will have the same model as a student - and even if he gold plates it and covers it in diamonds, it will have exactly the same functionality.
